The Supervisory Committee is an oversight audit committee appointed by our Rogue Credit Union™ Board of Directors. During the year, the Supervisory Committee holds regular meetings with our Rogue Credit Union™ Internal Auditors. The five members of the Supervisory Committee are responsible for reviewing Rogue's annual audit, upon completion from the Federal Examiners. The audited and consolidated financial statements are available on the Annual Reports page of our site.
Rogue Experience – Carrie has been a Rogue Credit Union member since 1989 and joined the Supervisory Committee in 2018. She was appointed Chair of the Committee in 2020.
Background – Carrie is the Managing Partner of Ashland Partners & Company LLP, a local CPA firm specializing in assurance services for investment advisors. She is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Certified Information Technology Professional (CITP). Carrie earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Public Accounting) and a Master of Business Administration from Southern Oregon University. She also holds certificates in Applied Finance and Economics and Accounting Information Systems, as well as Advanced SOC for Service Organizations and SOC for Cybersecurity certifications issued by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA).
Key Roles and Accomplishments – Carrie is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants (OSCPA), the AICPA, and the CFA Institute. Her professional and community leadership includes serving as Chair of Rogue Credit Union’s Supervisory Committee, a member of the GIPS® Verification Subcommittee, Treasurer of the Southern Oregon Humane Society Board (2016–2021), and Council Chair of the OSCPA Southern Oregon Chapter (2018).
Rogue Experience – Sara has been a Rogue Credit Union member since 2004 and joined the Supervisory Committee in 2020. She also has a unique history with the credit union, having served as a student teller at the Ashland High School Grizzly Branch during the 1996–97 school year and as a teller at the Ashland Branch in the summer of 1997.
Background – Sara is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has been a Senior Instructor of Accounting at Southern Oregon University since 2013, teaching both undergraduate and MBA-level courses. Prior to joining SOU, she spent eight years in public accounting with Moss Adams and Don L. Pinkham, CPA, PC, in Medford.
Key Roles/Accomplishments – Sara holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a concentration in Public Accounting from Southern Oregon University and a Master of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University. She is licensed as a CPA by the Oregon Board of Accountancy and is a member of the Oregon Society of CPAs and the American Institute of CPAs. Her community involvement includes service with the Women’s Leadership Conference, SOU Youth Programs Advisory Board, Phoenix-Talent Schools Bond Committee, and Phoenix-Talent Schools Budget Committee.
Rogue Experience – Joan has been a Rogue Credit Union member since 2011 and joined the Supervisory Committee in 2020.
Background – Joan has taught in Southern Oregon University’s School of Business from 1997 to 2022, with expertise in Marketing, Management, GIS in Business, and Business Policy and Strategy. Since retiring, she has continued teaching online courses part-time. Prior to her academic career, Joan worked in real estate finance and investing.
Key Roles and Accomplishments – Joan holds bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in Business Administration. During her tenure at Southern Oregon University, she served in numerous leadership roles, including Director of the SOU and Rogue Community College Higher Education Center, Chair of the School of Business, Interim Dean, Division Director, and Program Coordinator. She also developed Oregon’s first Bachelor of Applied Science degree program. Joan currently serves on the boards of the Ashland Rotary Foundation and Asante.
Rogue Experience – Randy has been a Rogue Credit Union member since 2016 and joined the Supervisory Committee in 2021.
Background – Randy serves as a Jackson County Commissioner and was elected to the Board in 2024. Prior to his current role, he served as Mayor of Medford from 2021 to 2024. Randy spent nearly 30 years with the Medford Police Department, retiring as Chief of Police in 2019. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Science and a Master’s Degree in Management from Southern Oregon University.
Key Roles and Accomplishments – Randy has served on numerous state, regional, and local boards and committees, including the Oregon Association of Chiefs of Police Board of Directors, Emergency Communications of Southern Oregon Intergovernmental Council, Rogue Community College Board of Education, Jackson County Airport Advisory Committee, and Goodwill Industries Board of Directors. He also served in the United States Army National Guard and Army Reserve.
Rogue Experience – Heather has been a Rogue Credit Union member since 1988. She was appointed to the Supervisory Committee in 2016 and elected to the Board of Directors in 2018, where she continues to serve.
Background – Heather is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and serves as the Finance Manager for Jackson County Library Services. She previously worked in public accounting in both Portland and Medford for nine years and served as Chief Financial Officer of Blackstone Publishing in Ashland.
Key Roles/Accomplishments – Heather is a former Board member and Audit Committee Chair of the Oregon Shakespeare Festival. She is a member of the Oregon Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and holds the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation.
